Age Verification
Federal law requires buyers to be 21+ for handguns and 18+ for long guns and ammunition. RangePress checks age at checkout automatically. It’s not a plugin you could forget to turn on — it’s part of the store.
Self-Certification at Checkout
Customers confirm they meet the age requirement for the items in their cart. The verification step appears automatically based on product metadata.
30-Day Verification Expiry
Returning customers who verified within the last 30 days skip re-verification on subsequent purchases. Reduces friction without compromising compliance.
Per-Product Age Requirements
Set age requirements at the product level. Handguns require 21+, long guns 18+, ammunition varies by state. The checkout enforces the highest requirement in the cart.
Third-Party Verification
Integration with AgeChecker.Net for identity-verified age checks when self-certification isn't sufficient for your compliance requirements.
FFL Dealer Selection
Firearms can’t ship directly to consumers. Every firearm order must route through a federally licensed dealer (FFL) for the background check and transfer. RangePress makes this seamless for your customers.
Zip Code Dealer Search
Customers enter their zip code at checkout and see nearby FFL dealers with configurable search radius and result limits. No separate lookup tools or phone calls required.
SOT Dealer Detection
NFA items like suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and machine guns require a Special Occupational Tax (SOT) dealer. RangePress automatically detects NFA items in the cart and filters the dealer search to SOT-licensed locations.
Dealer Details on Every Order
The selected dealer's license number, name, address, and phone number persist through order completion and into fulfillment. Your shipping team always knows exactly where to send the transfer.
Real-Time Dealer Data
Dealer searches query a live FFL database rather than a static list. License status, address changes, and new dealers are reflected immediately.
State Shipping Rules
Firearms law is a patchwork. What’s legal to sell in Texas may be banned in California. RangePress knows every major state rule out of the box. You can add your own rules on top.
Rule Types
Block
Order cannot proceed to the affected state. Used for outright bans on specific product categories.
Ship to FFL
Product must ship to an FFL dealer, not a residential address. Enforced for firearms in all states.
Require Documentation
Customer must upload required documentation before the order can be fulfilled. Used for state permits and licenses.
Capacity Limit
Magazine capacity limits enforced by state. California (10 rounds), Colorado (15 rounds), Connecticut (10 rounds), and others.
Pre-Seeded Baselines
RangePress comes loaded with the rules for every state that has firearms restrictions. These baselines are locked on. You can add stricter rules of your own, but you can’t accidentally remove a legal one.
